Research and Education Informationist

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Libraries invite applications for a Research and Education Informationist. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment dedicated to advancing research, education, and clinical practice at MUSC.

The Research and Education Informationist will provide research and knowledge management services to students and faculty from the College of Graduate Studies and selected programs within the College of Health Professions. Reporting to the Associate Director, this position operates in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include expert literature searching, instruction, research consultations, and community engagement to support MUSC students, faculty, and staff in the health sciences.  ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science or an advanced degree in the basic sciences required.

Salary: commensurate with education and experience, with a minimum salary of $60,000.

Faculty Rank & Work Environment: The faculty rank for both positions is open. MUSC faculty members work hybrid schedules as appropriate for their roles.

Location Requirement: Successful candidates must relocate to Charleston, SC. Relocation assistance is provided.
